Sant Balumama was born in Adamapur village in Maharastra's kolhapur district. A shepherd by profession, he elevated to a saintly status by helping the poor and inculcating values into the wicked. Throughout his life, he worked to demolish all the existing customs in the society which inhibited the man from moving towards a divine state of the mind.
